Cost per click rates have skyrocketed while algorithm changes (Google Panda FEB 2011) have knocked review sites and directories from ranking on Google’s page one. This has squeezed margins forcing lead generation companies to change their business model or go out of business. So they formed affiliate/partner relationships and started passing leads between each other. They increased monetization by selling each lead to more sellers, started generating and mixing in low cost leads (email, overseas call centers & display ads) while maintaining and even increasing their cost per lead. So now the seller doesn't know where the lead originated, how fresh the lead is, or how many sellers are pursuing it. It truly is futile.
The way the lead gen industry has evolved has put a strain on ROI because sellers are finding it extremely difficult to reach buyers. This is what differentiates us:
- We cap our lead to a maximum of three sellers insuring that the buyer is not overwhelmed by the seller’s outreach.
- We’re always transparent about when and how the lead was generated.
